Venture Imports is a fair trade wholesale company that was founded in 2001 by Jennie Misner. She primarily works with artisans in Kenya who create beautiful and unique fair trade gifts made out of natural and dyed Kisii soapstone and colorful recycled glass. In 2014, we started working together to strengthen her already established brand. Currently, I provide my design and creative services as the lead brand designer, product stylist, and product photographer.
Significant ongoing projects include: styling products for photography that appear on social media and on website listings, designing business cards, postcard mailers, retail take-away cards, retail signage, jewelry packaging, thank you note cards, and greeting cards. Larger projects include designing printed catalogs and digital wholesale catalogs. I also provided art direction for the user interface of her website redesign.
